While most game franchises tend to release a new sequels for the latest and greatest systems, leaving the original behind as a forgotten dinosaur, Myst is consistently being ported and remade with each generation of computer and consoles. The unique gameplay, lushly detailed graphics and deep, intelligent fiction has never felt outdated.
Although Myst has received a facelift or two in the past with Myst: Masterpiece Edition, and more recently in Real Myst, the DS is an enhanced port of the original 1993 Macintosh Computer game.
