By , About.com Guide

The summer of 2008 sees the first Open Beta Test of a video game via Xbox Live Arcade, and better yet, it's a "remix" of a classic arcade game, Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix. An Beta Test is where they test the functionality of the game and looks for bugs/glitches and ways to tweak the overall experience. Typically this is done by professional game testers. An Open Beta is when the testing of the game is released to the public.

To get access to the Open Beta, Xbox Live Gold Members need to purchase and download the Xbox Live Arcade game, Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3, a remake/sequel to the original Commando game. From the main menu of Commando 3, you can download a build of the Open Beta.

This particular Open Beta, is to test the multiplayer functionality. The only playable characters are Ryu and Ken, in multiplayer mode only.

Players/testers are then encouraged to go to beta.capcom.com and let them know their thoughts and if they came across any bugs.
