A classic arcade and fighting game, Street Fighter II was released by Capcom in 1991. Pitting two players against each other in fast-moving hand-to-hand combat, Street Fighter's colorful cast of fighters, unique stage designs, and challenging gameplay made it an instant hit.

The popularity has triggered dozens of clones and ports over the years, allowing almost anyone to obtain a copy of the game for modern devices.

How to Play Street Fighter II

Players select from one of eight fighters from around the world, each with his or her own special combo moves, attacks, strengths, and weaknesses. Street Fighter II includes two characters from the original Capcom version, plus six new characters from around the world. In addition to the eight playable characters, there are four non-playable characters known as Grand Masters which players face in boss fights.

In the single-player arcade mode, players select a fighter and, one-by-one, face off against every other character in the game. If the player defeats all other fighters they move on to the four Grand Master opponents.
