This year is the big comeback show for the E3 Expo, resurrected from the ashes of the fumbled E3 Business Summit.
As expected, Day 2 of the 2009 E3 Expo did indeed have bigger crowds, but nowhere near the turnout that it once had in the show's glory days. As Denise Kaigler, the VP of Corporate Affair at Nintendo said in her Q&A with the on-site news mag E3 Expo Official Show Daily, "Were moving towards a happy medium. After a hard day's work at the office or school, haven't you ever wanted to just destroy a small farm without having to get off the couch? Well now you can thanks to Zephyr: Rise of the Elementals, the newly announced tornado game published by Konami and releasing September, 8th, 2009 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and the Wii. First he and his wife travel to a small (and spooky) town in hopes that a little trip will spark some inspiration, but soon after they arrive his wife is kidnapped by a supernatural entity. Now Alan has to battle the forces of darkness to save his spouse and himself, while it all seems to follow the chapters of his newest manuscript, which he has no memory of ever writing.
E3 2009 is finally over! This is a special time for industry pros to rest and recover, and for us press who had crappy internet connections plus wall-to-wall meetings during the show, and then came down with the flu afterwards, to catch up on the boatload of news and previews to report. So let's start off with some of Nintendo's upcoming Nintendo DS/DSi announcements.
